Update at 24 Months: Thin Sides & Middle Growth + Locking
11:49 AMWith the way my sides been looking ever since I had my sisterlocks install, I'm been tempted many time to have them taped by a barber My stubbornness is the only thing that has prevented me from doing so because I still want to see if they can grow back.
Below is an updated look of my sides & middle. Shout out to Jai who wanted an updated on my sides ^_^.

From the look of thing, I don't think my sides will get any better than this. It's definitely a much better improvement then how it was before. If you want to see the worst of it (my thin sides) click here. I believe I can live with how my sides look now. They will most likely get thicker, and I hope that will be a sign of more coverage.
Middle ReGrowth
I'm starting to seem my grids, and you guys don't know how happy that makes me. It has been frustrating at times, but I'm glad I didn't give up. The progress to me was painfully slow, but I can't complain, because at least my hair is growing back in.
Back of My Head (Sisterlocks)
If you are a long time follower, you know my issues with the back of my head. If you are new, I had soft baby hair in the back of my head, which took a total of three years to locks. They were a real pain to deal with because going swimming means longer and painful retighten due to the slippages and unraveling locks.
I'm glad to say that the back of my locks are FULLY locks. I can go swimming etc. without worry about slippages or unraveling locks.
I switch to a new "popular" clarifier shampoo, and just now notice I'm retaining some buildup, and some lint. I will release the review about that shampoo soon, but seeing this makes the decision to stick with my old clarifier all the more easier.
Products I Used for Growth: Hair Growth Oil and Biotin. For moisture and softness, I still use my homemade spray.

DeleteYour edges have grown in well. Sometimes when we sleep on one side more than the other, we notice a slight difference. Excellent pics! I can't wait to try out the apple cider vinegar soak/wash and metal hair rollers. Thanks always for your great info!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I agree that my sides look much better then how it was before. All I can do is continue with my regiment and hope for the best.
